Communication and swallowing are vital aspects of life. Every day we use these functions to nourish our bodies and communicate our wants and needs. Just as importantly, eating, drinking and communicating enable us to form relationships with others, thereby enriching our lives and the lives of others. At Say It Speech Pathology, our purpose is to help a client maximise their communication or swallow function so that they can actively participate in their chosen life path.
Communication and swallow function continues to change throughout a person’s lifespan. People can encounter difficulties at any stage along the lifespan continuum. Therefore, at Say It Speech Pathology Majella works with both children and adults who are experiencing communication or swallowing difficulties in their stage of life.
After an assessment, individualised goals and a therapy program are devised in consultation with the client and significant other(s). The client’s interests, strengths, motivation and current life situation are considered to help enable positive change in the areas of communication and/or swallowing.
Say It Speech Pathology’s mobile service extends to Redland Bay, Victoria Point, Thornlands, Cleveland, Raby Bay, Ormiston and Wellington Point.
